Today, Tradenet held its inaugural blood donation drive, organised by our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team in collaboration with Maldivian Blood Services. The event took place at the National Thalassemia Centre, running from 9 AM to 2 PM. Registrations for participation were open from 19th to 23rd September.
The CSR team initiated this blood donation drive in response to feedback from staff, many of whom expressed interest in contributing to such initiatives. Moreover, several of our colleagues require regular blood transfusions, making this cause especially meaningful to our team.
The response from staff has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants from various departments registering to donate blood. In addition to pre-registered participants, several unregistered staff members attended the event and donated blood on the spot. Altogether, nearly 30 staff members generously contributed to this cause.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Maldivian Blood Services for their invaluable support. Their expertise and guidance ensured the smooth organisation and execution of the event.
We also wish to thank all the Tradenet staff who participated, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community. The support received across all departments is highly appreciated.
This blood donation drive marks the first in a series of quarterly donation initiatives, with the next event scheduled for January 2025.
