Tradian Training Sessions Show Promising Progress and Enthusiastic Participation

With the launch of Tradian approaching, Tradenet has been conducting training sessions to ensure all stakeholders across the trade sector are well-prepared to transition smoothly to the new platform.

These sessions aim to familiarise participants, including shipping agents, freight forwarders, importers, exporters, and Cross Border Regulatory Agencies (CBRAs), with Tradian and its many benefits.

The Tradian Training Sessions began on 17 September, following the registration period that opened on 12 September. Below, we provide a detailed overview of the progress made so far.

Key Topics Covered

Our training programme is structured around four core modules, each tailored to the specific needs of different stakeholder groups:

Introduction to Seamless Trade with Tradian

This online module is open to all participants, offering an essential introduction to Tradian. It covers the core concepts and basic functionalities, and is recommended as the starting point for further training. The sessions are held every Tuesday, from 17 September to 29 October.

Freight Forwarding Operations with Tradian

This in-person module is designed for freight forwarders, offering practical insights into using Tradian for efficient freight management. Sessions are held on Wednesdays, from 18 September to 30 October.

Efficient Shipping Operations with Tradian

This module is aimed at shipping agents, focusing on optimising shipping processes using Tradian. It is held in-person on alternating Wednesdays, starting from 25 September.

Import and Export Compliance with Tradian

Tailored for importers and exporters in the Maldives, this in-person module covers compliance training for managing licences and certificates using Tradian. It is offered on alternating Wednesdays, starting from 18 September.

In addition to these modules, we offer customised group training sessions upon request. These can be conducted online or in-person, depending on the preferences of the requesting party, with the content tailored to their specific needs.

Positive Feedback and Strong Engagement

The response from participants so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Attendees have found the sessions relevant to their needs and appreciated the clear and effective delivery of the material. Feedback collected through forms and discussions with attendees highlights their satisfaction with the content and structure of the sessions.

Participants have also expressed eagerness to learn more about how Tradian will save time and streamline processes compared to existing systems. We are excited to incorporate this feedback in upcoming sessions, providing participants with even more value as they prepare for the transition.

Continuous Improvement for Participant Success

At Tradenet, we are committed to continuously improving the training experience. The feedback we’ve received is invaluable, and we are actively working to enhance our sessions to ensure every participant gains the skills and knowledge they need to effectively use Tradian.

Join the Tradian Training Sessions

The Tradian Training Sessions will continue through October, leading up to the highly anticipated launch of Phase I of the platform in November. We encourage all stakeholders to take advantage of these training opportunities and become part of the transformation of trade in the Maldives.
