Newsroom

Maldives Customs Service, Maldives Ports Limited, and the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) are working together to modernise trade facilitation in the Maldives through Tradian – the Maldives National Single Window (MNSW). This digital platform is designed to streamline import and export processes, making trade simpler, faster, and more efficient.
To support shipping agents and freight forwarders in getting started with Tradian, these key agencies are hosting a Tradian Open Day. As we prepare for Phase 1 operationalisation, it is essential for shipping agents and freight forwarders to complete their user registration to access the platform.
This event is a collaborative effort to ensure a smooth transition, providing an opportunity to register on Tradian, explore its features, and receive one-on-one support directly from officials at the agencies that regulate and facilitate trade in the Maldives.

A Joint Effort to Enhance Trade Facilitation
This Open Day is made possible through the collaboration and commitment of:
Ministry of Economic Development (MoED) (Lead implementing agency of Tradian)
Maldives Customs Service
Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation
Maldives Ports Limited
As the lead implementing agency, the Ministry of Economic Development (MoED) has been driving the development and rollout of Tradian. Maldives Customs Service, MoTCA, and MPL, as key Cross-Border Regulatory Agencies (CBRAs), play a central role in ensuring seamless trade facilitation through the system.
Together, these agencies have been working to implement Tradian as the new standard for trade-related documentation and approvals. Their ongoing partnership is at the heart of this initiative, ensuring a smoother, more transparent, and efficient trade environment.
At this Open Day, their teams will be available to guide stakeholders through Tradian, answer questions, and provide hands-on support.
