Newsroom
oneGov is excited to announce that a key service from the Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development is now available through oneGov. This marks an important milestone in our joint effort with the Ministry to modernise and digitalize their services and offer them seamlessly through oneGov.
We are pleased to initiate this journey by introducing the first service from the Housing Ministry as part of our multi-phase rollout plan.
Effective 16 January 2024, the following service of the Ministry will be available one oneGov:
Land Use Plan Approval: This service can be used to apply for an approval for new Land Use Plans. Additionally, you can also use this service to bring changes to existing Land Use Plans. An approved Land Use Plan is needed before land allocation and lease on any island or city of the Maldives, according to the Decentralisation Act (7/2010).
In addition to this inaugural service, we are actively working with the Housing Ministry to offer additional services that will further enhance your experience in accessing public services in the Maldives. We are excited to announce that additional Housing Ministry services are planned for launch throughout this year.
With the arrival of the Housing Ministry’s services to oneGov, citizens will experience a streamlined application process with reduced paperwork, ensuring a more efficient and transparent digital service. For the Ministry Staff, the adoption of oneGov will simplify workflows, minimise human errors, and enhance efficiency and transparency in processing applications with the help of oneGov Workplace.
Overall, oneGov enhances accessibility and effectiveness for both citizens and Ministry staff in delivering public services.
We sincerely thank the Housing Ministry for their collaboration and trust in oneGov. Your support has been instrumental in reaching this milestone, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to further improve and expand the range of Housing Ministry services on oneGov.
